Please note this trip is not for the faint hearted and the teacher you choose to go on this incredible once in a lifetime trip, will need to have:

A can-do positive attitude with a natural willingness to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in to help make a real difference to the native school and local community.
The Jungle Conservation programme begins with 2 days in Cusco where you (and other like minded people) will participate in a mandatory orientation session and receive information about your trip to the project site.
You can expect to take part in a variety of activities, including:
Reforestation—planting trees, shrubs, and orchids
Working with a local school
Removing invasive, non-native species of bamboo
Wildlife monitoring—observing and counting species of birds, insects (especially butterflies), amphibians, and primates
Organic gardening
Trail maintenance
Scientific research in biology, chemistry, and zoology
Educational workshops with local communities
Opportunities to teach English to the local community
